New Beginnings

So I am back! And you will be skeptical I know...that Jamila Lighthouse can only keep a blog for a month before she deletes it! But there has been a change since my last deletion. My beautiful son was born almost one week ago, mashaAllah....he is in my arms as I write....InshaAllah the anxiety I felt in the last few weeks of the pregnancy is now a thing of the past. Sometimes I want to approach blogging as though I am talking to Allah swt. Why? I don't know...I don't need to type for Him to hear me, but somehow when I am typing my thoughts are clearer.

Ya Allah please help me feel still and full, let me feel your peace and let the birth have purified me. Please let me maintain that feeling of lightness and joy that you gave me after the delivery of this beautiful child. Please let me grow into a better person so I can be the mother that he and my other children deserve. Please let me learn to seek refuge in you before I fall into my emotions.....
